Delete My Account
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly erased:
- Your email address and account credentials
- All learning profiles and nicknames
- All exercise history, session scores, and accuracy data
- Word mastery scores (WMS) for all vocabulary
- Phase and concept progress
- Daily activity history and streak records
- Virtual coin balance and transaction history
- All personal preferences and settings
Data is purged from our production database immediately. Encrypted backups are purged on a rolling 30-day schedule.
What is NOT deleted
- Aggregated and fully anonymised analytics (not linked to you in any way)
- Transaction records required by law for financial compliance (purchase receipts held by Apple / Google, not by us)
Subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through the platform where you subscribed:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Les Petits Articles → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Account → Subscriptions → Les Petits Articles → Cancel
How to delete your account
Account deletion is done directly inside the app — no need to contact support.
- Open Les Petits Articles on your device.
- Tap the Settings tab (⚙️) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the Compte (Account) section.
- Tap Supprimer mon compte.
- Confirm the two prompts that appear.
- Your account and all data will be deleted immediately and you will be signed out.
Don't have the app installed?
If you no longer have the app installed and want your data deleted, email us at support@lespetitsarticles.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
